    MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) - The Clio Rural Fire Department and Blenheim Fire Department responded to a single-family home fire around 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Marlboro County Fire Coordinator Keith Hughes says when firefighters arrived on the scene near Wanda and Gregory Streets, the home was fully engulfed with flames. He says the home is a total loss and that a barn near it was also damaged.Hughes says no one was injured in the fire. The fire departments continue to investigate a cause.

    Wednesday afternoon the West Florence Fire Department responded to a call fro a trapped dog in a house on Tanager Dr. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a dog with its head stuck between two bars and was choking. Firefighters were able to remove the dog with out injury to the animal. Once the rescue was complete, the animal was turned over to the owner.

    Dillon Darlings went undefeated in the state tournament for Dixie Softball. The team made up of girls ages 8 and under will leave Thursday to compete in the World Series in Bay St Louis Mississippi. The Latta softball team ages 12U State Champion softball team returned to Latta with a police escort down Main Street last week. They are also headed to the World Series for their division. Both teams have been hosting fundraisers to help pay for their trips to the world series.

    A shooting on Miles Saturday, July19th, sent a 17-year-old victimto the hospital.Lt. Larry Turner with Bennettsville Police said the teen was treated and released. A 16-year-old was taken into custody and charged as a juvenile with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during violent crime. He was transported to Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.Lt. Turner said they had a prior altercation and this was likely retaliation.

    A house fire has damaged part of a home in Florence Saturday night, according to officials with the West Florence Fire Department.Battalion Chief Anthony Fox says first responders were dispatched to the home at 1307 W. Sumter St. in Florence around 8 p.m. Flames and smoke were visible from the house upon arrival, according to Fox. It is estimated one-quarter of the home was on fire.It is unclear if anyone was injured. Count on News13 to bring you the latest developments on this story.

    Two teenagers were rushed to University Medical Center in serious condition, that according to emergency dispatchers, who said they fell more than 12 feet from a ride at Saint Anthony's Bazaar on Sunday night.It happened shortly past 10 p.m.Dispatchers said firefighters also requested a ladder to rescue somebody stranded on the ride. The Crimes Against Children unit is investigating. There was no immediate indication from police of why that unit is involved.
