3 men killed in SC crash after Camaro strikes tree

WSPA - UNION COUNTY, S.C. – Three people are dead after a car ran off the road, striking a tree in Union County, according to the Greenville County Coroner's office.

SC Highway Patrol says it happened just before 2:00 a.m. Thursday on Black Bottom Road. The accident is near South Carolina Highway 9, South Carolina Highway 49 and the Thurmond Tract Wildlife Management Area.

The driver, 35-year-old man, of Union, crashed his Camaro, killing him and his two passengers. Troopers say no one in car were wearing their seat belts.

One of the passenger, 32-year-old man, was ejected from the car and taken to Spartanburg Regional Hospital where he later died.

The second passenger, 28-year-old man, of Union, and the driver was not ejected from the car, but they died on the scene.

The coroner has not released the names of the victims yet.
