Coroner identifies woman found dead after Socastee mobile home fire

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) - An autopsy is scheduled for a woman found dead Tuesday morning after a mobile home fire in Socastee.

Firefighters responded to 512 Keystone Lane around 6:41 a.m., Horry County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief John Fowler said. They found 63-year-old Janet Lynn Branson's body, the coroner said. She had recently lived in the mobile home, according to a press release, but she was from Tennessee.

Firefighters haven't determined how the fire started and the coroner hasn't said how the woman died. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
