Victim identified in deadly overnight Socastee shooting

    An Amber Alert has been canceled after 2-year old Maliah Harris was found safe in Georgia. Her 7-month-old sibling, Alyssa, was found dead and Maliah disappeared from a Mississippi home which prompted authorities to issue the alert. The girls parents, Donald Boyd Harris,34, and Allison Studdard, 31, are now in custody.

    A Greenville woman is accused of attempted murder and willful neglect after police say she dumped her newborn son in a trash can moments after giving birth. SOCASTEE, S.C. - Horry County Police are investigating an overnight deadly shooting in the Socastee area early Tuesday morning.

Horry County Dispatch confirmed a shooting around 12:30 a.m. on Figure 8 Road in Socastee.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified the victim as Jerome Green Jr., 37, of Socastee.  Willard said Green was shot multiple times.
