Loris shooting sends one to hospital

LORIS - One person has been arrested for a shooting in Loris Tuesday. Police are seaching for a second suspect.

According to Lt. Bob Carr, with the Horry County Police Department, the shooting happened at 4280 Red Bluff Road outside of the Mt. Vernon Grocery Store.

Police say, the victim, Philip McCallister, was located on scene suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left leg.

The victim was transported to Loris Hospital for treatment.

The suspect vehicle was located a short time later by patrol units and one suspect was taken into custody.

Police arrested Timmy Cornelius Long, 24,, of Longs . He is charged wtih Accessory After the Fact to a Felony and is currently at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Police are looking for Jackie Devale Jenkins, 24, also of Longs. Jenkins is facing a charge of Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill.

The Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate. Officers are still looking for the second suspect who they say should be considered armed and dangerous.
