    A 3-day prostitution sting in Greenville County ended with 27 arrests.The operation started July 17 and targeted areas including Old Buncombe Road, Whitehorse Road and hotels in the southern portion of the county, according to sheriff’s office.

HEMINGWAY-Elaine Eaddy Cribb, 52, wife of Nicki L. Cribb, Sr., died Thursday July 30, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Cribb was born in Hemingway, a daughter of the late Perry and Anna Cribb Eaddy. She was a member of Huggins Chapel Southern Methodist Church and was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School.
Surviving are her husband, Nicki L. Cribb, Sr. of the home; sons, John G. Cribb, Jr. of Johnsonville, Nicholas E. Cribb of Aiken, Troy Merriett and Pat Merriett both of Charleston and Gene Merriett of Greenville; grandchildren, Jason Cribb and Destiny Cribb both of Hemingway, Acacia Cribb of Red Rock, TX and Caden Cribb of Aiken; second mother, Harriett C. Eaddy of Hemingway; brothers, Bill Sanders of Morrisville, NC, Cecil Sanders of Hemingway, Randy Eaddy of Andrews and Kenneth Sanders of Durham, NC; sister, Carol Rogers of Georgetown.
Mrs. Cribb was preceded in death by two sons, Nicki Louis Cribb, Jr. and Anthony Gale Cribb; daughter, Yvette Leneve Cribb; brother, David Sanders; sisters, Teresa Kay Eaddy and Kitty Cribb.
Memorial services were held Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Huggins Chapel Southern Methodist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway.
