SENECA, SC -

Earlier in the week Bishop Derrick Wayne Jones was put on administrative leave from Seneca Church of God for allegedly punching his teenage daughter.

According to our coverage partners at Anderson Independent Mail, Bishop Jones was arrested after an argument he had on Feb. 17th with his teenage daughter. Allegedly he threw her on the floor and sat on her.

The teenager then ran away from home and was located the next day at her boyfriend's house. Our coverage partners say Bishop Jones was charged on Feb. 18th  with one county of unlawful conduct toward a child.

He was taken to Oconee County Detention Center and later released on a 10-thousand-dollar personal recognizance bond.
