RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Dorchester County sheriff's deputies have charged a man with killing his step-grandfather during a robbery in the backyard of the Ridgeville home they shared.
Investigators said 37-year-old Sonny Ray Jones Jr. is charged with murder and armed robbery.
Authorities say Jones killed 67-year-old Jimmy Edwards on Feb. 1. Investigators say Edwards was shot three times in the head at the home he shared with several other family members.
Deputies say more arrests are possible.
Jones is awaiting a bond hearing. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.
