Myrtle Beach, SC -
Voters in the City of Myrtle Beach will ultimately decide whether the city should put up $10 million in bonds for a performing arts center.
The referendum will appear on the November ballot.
City council approved a resolution for the referendum Tuesday.
If it passes in November, it will likely require a 2.5 mill tax increase but that's not part of the referendum question, according to a city spokesman.
2.5 mills is an extra $10 per year for every $100,000 of value for residential properties.
