COLUMBIA, SC -- An NC man who had his pants down when busted and took photos of his private parts for who he thought was a 14-year-old girl has pleaded guilty in a criminal sexual conduct case, officials say.
Isaac Claude Flynn, 38, of Gastonia, NC was charged in March of 2012 with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, disseminating obscene material to a minor (multiple counts) and criminal solicitation of a minor.
Officers say in February 2012 they began investigating Flynn after they got a report that he'd come to Kershaw County and had sex with a 15-year-old in December of 2011 and January of 2012.
Flynn has since admitted that he had sex with that girl, authorities say.
Investigators then began chatting with Flynn online, pretending to be a 14-year-old girl after they set up a fake Facebook page.
Officers say a female officer also spoke with him on the phone, and they he was "very explicit" in his conversations, and planned to come to Kershaw County to have sex with this "girl."
Investigators say on March 22 at 9:30 a.m., Flynn arrived at an athletic field in Lugoff to meet with what he thought was the girl and got out of the car with his pants undone, authorities said.
Officers who were waiting at the scene then took him into custody.
On Monday, Flynn pleaded guilty to one (1) count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, 2nd Degree; one (1) count of Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, 2nd degree; one (1) count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor; and one (1) count of Attempted Dissemination of Obscene Material to a person under the age of 18.
Judge G. Thomas Cooper imposed the maximum sentence on all charges to run concurrently for a total of 20 years. Flynn's computer equipment was forfeited, and he is required to register as a sex offender.
The South Carolina Attorney General's Office, Gastonia Police, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations and the State Law Enforcement Division all helped in the case.
