LORIS, SC (WBTW) - A Loris man was arrested over the weekend after assaulting two young children and his common law wife, police said.
According to an Horry County police report, Anthony Wayne Harvey, 41, was charged Saturday with criminal domestic violence and cruelty to children.
The victim told police she and her two girls, ages 9 and 12, were sleeping when Harvey came home intoxicated and began to assault them.
The victim said Harvey picked both girls up and threw them against a bedroom wall and then began to attack her.
Harvey then chased the three victims outside the home and threw all of them to the ground, the report said. The victim told police Harvey then poured a beer on her head.
The three victims managed to get away in her truck when Harvey slammed one of the children's hand and foot in the door jam, the report said.
She and the children were able to escape to a nearby neighbors house and called police, the report said. Harvey was arrested and taken to the J Reuben Long Detention Center.
The report also said Horry County police had been to the home earlier that day for a argument.
