GREENVILLE, SC -

Authorities say a husband saw the head-on collision on Interstate 385 that killed his wife and injured their three children.

Investigators say 27-year-old Shauntia Jackson and her husband were in separate vehicles on Interstate 385 in Greenville around 3:30 a.m. Monday when a wrong-way driver crashed into Jackson's car.

A man has now been charged with DUI in the fatal crash.

Greenville County Deputy Coroner Barry Wright says the couple was talking on a cellphone and the husband tried to warn his wife about the danger before the wreck.

The couple's three children, ages 9, 8 and, 3 were all injured and were in serious condition Monday. The wrong-way driver was also injured, but is expected to survive.

Authorities say it happened just before 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Pleansantburg Drive when a pick-up truck driven by Andrew Joseph Glasier, 26, of Greer was traveling the wrong way and hit a car, killing the driver.

The victim was later identified as Shauntia Jackson, 27, of Greenville. Jackson was wearing her seatbelt, but died at the scene.

Jackson, who was originally from the Buffalo, NY, area, recently graduated from Greenville Technical College, according to her Facebook page.

Troopers are investigating the wreck.
