(News Release)  This may seem a little early, but please mark your calendars for a cookout sponsored by the Veterans Cafe for the benefit of the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center in Little River.

The Cafe is owned and operated by Lou and Rhonda Mascherino, and Kris Tourtellotte is the founder of the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center.  I'm sure you are all aware of the great things they do in our community to support our veterans.

  • DATE:  Sunday, October 27, 2013
  • TIME:  Noon - 5:00 p.m.
  • PLACE:  American Legion Post 40 in Socastee, 5811 Creekside Drive, 29588 (Take 707 at the backgate to Recreation Drive, go about .4 mile, there's a sign on a tree for Post 40, turn left onto Creakside Drive, and you'll run into it.)
  • COST:  $8.00 for all you can eat (burgers, dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, chips, pretzels, sodas, and water (BYOB)
  • BAND:  The Sick Stooges
  • ACTIVITIES:  Door prizes, 50/50, silent auction
