SULLIVANS ISLAND, SC -

A Sullivan's Island man caught a big one right off the beach Friday afternoon.

The fisherman who wants to remain anonymous, says the Lemon shark was about 8 ½ feet long and more than 200 pounds. He caught it 100 yards from the shore.

The fisherman says he was on the beach Tarpon fishing when he reeled in the shark. He says he used hooks that dissolve so the shark was not harmed. He also put it back in the water shortly after about 70 people on the beach snapped photos and took videos with their cell phones.

The man says he goes to the beach often to fish and surf and says sharks are always out there but he has seen more of them closer to shore lately.
