    There are reports of a possible tornado that toucheddown at a campground located at the southern tip of Virginia's Eastern Shore. The Cherrystone Family Camping RV Resort near Cape Charles has extensive damage.The National Weather Service radarshowed awaterspout over the Chesapeake Bay shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday forcing an alert to be issued.It's unclear of the extent of injuries. Some media outlets reported deaths but those are not confirmed.

At least four cars were heavily damaged with parts scattered about the used car lot.No word on exactly how much monetary damage was done butat least two cars had sticker prices for $2,995, and another one for$3,695. South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene. No word on whether or not anyone was injured or arrested.

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) - A Conway area man who served in the US Army was killed in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday morning, authorities say.

According to the SCHP website, the crash happened just before 11 a.m. at 6601 Adrian Highway between Conway and Loris. 

Jessie Ridgle, age 46, who lived in the area, died in the two-vehicle crash while he was riding his 2013 Harley Davidson, the Horry County Coroner said.

Ridgle worked at Defalco's Automotive And Towing and served as a mechanic in the US Army, according to his Facebook page.

Ridgle, was a graduate of Conway High School, and served in Afghanistan in the last couple of years, according to Facebook.

The crash happened when the driver of the motorcycle was traveling south went off the right side of the road, lost control and then veered back across the centerline of traffic, the SC Highway Patrol said.

The motorcycle then collided with a 1999 Chevy Tahoe that was headed in the opposite direction, troopers said.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, according to the SC Highway Patrol.

Broadcast reports indicated a LifeCare helicopter was also called to the scene.

The driver of the Tahoe was not hurt.

Troopers do not expect to file charges in the crash.
