LANCASTER, SC -

A Lancaster man has been charged with shooting his 17-year-old girlfriend to death during an argument – just a day after a 12-year-old SC girl was shot by a teen boy in an unrelated incident.

Sheriff Barry Faile said Tuesday that Tanner Crolley, age 18, had been arrested and charged with murder.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting at a home at around 10 p.m. Monday and found Sierra Landry lying in the yard. She was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

The fatal shooting came just one day after 12-year-old Hope Alexandria Fair was killed when she was shot in the head by a 15-year-old boy in the town of Fountain Inn.

Friends and family were devastated by the tragic news of Landry's death.

"I'm gonna miss you girl. I can't believe this happened. You're a beautiful angel now and I bet you have a gorgeous set of wings. Fly high girl and please watch over me," wrote a friend, Summer Faith Hinson, on Facebook.

"Please, please pray for my family and I. My granddaughter Sierra Landry was shot and killed last night. God above give us strength to go through this horrible pain right now.  I still will praise you my Lord, in Jesus name, Amen," wrote Landry's grandmother, Donna Looper Reece, on her Facebook page.

Investigators say they found Crolley several hours after the shooting nearby and arrested him. Authorities say the couple had been arguing outside the home when Crolley shot Landry.

WCNC-TV in Charlotte reported that Crolley was charged with criminal domestic violence against Landry in June. The judge then issued a restraining order against Crolley, the TV station reported.

"He was bad for her from the start," Sierra's stepmother, Jessica Landry, told the TV station.

Crolley's Facebook page featured a large photo of a gold handgun and bullets as the main "Cover image." Crolley's Facebook page was removed just as WBTW published this story Tuesday.

Crolley was jailed Tuesday and a magistrate denied bond on the murder charge.

WCNC reported that other bonds totaled $26,000 on charges of damaging property and possession of a weapon.

It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
