MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -

It's been nearly three weeks since Heather Elvis went missing.

Her parents, Terry and Debbie Elvis, say it's all they can do to make it through each day.

"It's all that we can think about, day in and day out, you can't sleep, you can't eat," Terry said.

20 year old Elvis was last seen on December 17, and her car was found abandoned at Peachtree Landing on December 19.

The reward for information leading to Heather's whereabouts now sits at $25,000.  And the higher it goes, the more Terry Elvis is flooded with tips – many of them bogus.

"Numerous calls every night, every day," he said.  "And they're people that for whatever their reasons are, they don't want to talk with police."

Monday night, the Elvis family found a new ray of hope, as the search for Heather went before a national audience.

HLN's Nancy Grace interviewed Terry and Debbie for a feature on Heather's case – something they hope and pray will bring in new leads.

"You get a little more national exposure, maybe somebody was in the area that's not here now and didn't realize they saw something or heard something -- maybe they'll see it," Terry said.

Crews have searched numerous times in the area near Peachtree Landing where Heather's car was found, and also off Tidewater Road near Carolina Forest, but so far nothing.

Horry County Police formed a special task force with the Horry County Sheriff's Office, Myrtle Beach Police, SLED, US Marshal Task Force, 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office and the Drug Enforcement Unit to find Elvis.

Now her parents just want to keep the attention on their daughter as long as possible, in hopes that their prayers will be answered.

"We just pray that someone comes forward and tells us what's going on," Elvis said.  "I fear that if we don't keep pressure on, that people will forget, and I just can't live with that."

If you have any information about Heather Elvis, email crimetips@horrycounty.org or call 915-TIPS (8477).
