CONWAY, SC (WBTW) - A Conway woman was arrested this week after police said she left three children, one in a wheelchair, home alone.

According to an Horry County police report, Kristen Mason, 29, was arrested Saturday after police found three children 10 and under home alone and had not eaten. One of the children was confined to a wheelchair and was on a feeding tube, the report said.

After several attempts to locate Mason, a witness told police Mason was in Socastee and was highly intoxicated. The witness also told police Mason was planning on leaving the three children and her boyfriend.

The boyfriend was called to the scene from work and agreed to take care of the children, the report said.

Mason was charged with 3 counts of unlawful neglect of a child. She was released from J Reuben Long Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
