MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -

Before the November election, the South Carolina Tea Party Convention continued Sunday in Myrtle Beach.

More than 600 people were at Springmaid Resort for the event.

Tea party groups from across the country heard guest speakers and congressmen.

After each presentation, audience members were able to question speakers in a question and answer session.

"There are so many lies and deceit and deception coming out of Washington but the people don't know the truth. this is an opportunity for people to learn what is going on," said Joe Dugan, the executive producer of the convention.

The conference continues Monday.

There will be a debate between the four candidates who challenge senator Lindsey Graham in the June primary.
