    A Boynton Beach, Florida woman is accused of animal abuse. Officers were called out to Andrea Curiel's home two weeks ago where they discovered her dog with duct tape wrapped around its mouth. It also was in a very small cage that was not cleaned according to authorities. Apparently she told police she taped the dog's mouth shut because she was afraid managers at the apartment complex would hear it barking. Police said Curiel told them she meant to clean the dog's cage but was running late. ...

    A Former Kentucky postal worker was sentenced to six months in federal prison for failing to deliver about 45,000 pieces of mail. Brent Morse stored the mail at his late mother's home and in rented storage facilities near his home and mail route in western Kentucky. A US Attorney said most of the mail was meant for about 250 homes in the Dawson Springs community over two years. will be closed Friday

Bladen Community College Classes canceled for Friday. Staff that are able to report to work safely should do so at 11 am

Brunswick County Schools - closed for students and staff Friday

Carolina Academy in Lake City - staff should report at 8:00 a.m. Friday and students should report at 9:00 a.m.

Clarendon County District Three - 2 hour delay for students on Friday.  All employees report at regular time.

Coastal Leadership Academy, Public Charter High School will be on a 3 hour delay Friday

Chesterfield County Schools -- on 2-hour delay Friday.

Coker College will re-open at 11 a.m. on Thursday. All ALPHA classes—both on- and off-campus—are canceled

Darlington County School District - 2-hour delay Friday. Staff are to report at regular time.

Dillon Christian School will be closed Friday

Dillon School District Three will be closed Friday

Dillon School District Four will be closed Friday

Emmanuel Christian School (Hartsville) - regular schedule on Friday

Florence County District One - 2-Hour Delayed Schedule on Friday

Florence County District Three - 2-hour delay for students and employees on Friday

Florence School District Four -  2 hour delay for students on Friday. STAFF will report at normal work hour

Florence County District Five - 2-hour delay Friday for students and staff

Florence Darlington Tech - regular schedule Friday

Francis Marion University - regular schedule Friday

Georgetown County School District - 2-hour delay for students.  Employees will report to work one hour later than normal. after-school activities will be on a normal schedule

Horry County Public Schools will be closed Friday. District and school employees who work contracts 220 days or more are asked to report to work by 10 a.m. unless road conditions prevent safe travel.

Horry Georgetown Technical College - resumes regular operations at 8 a.m., Friday

Lee County School District will be on a 1-Hour Delay Friday 

Marion County Schools will be closed Friday; all staff are to report on a 2 hour delay.

Marion County School of Practical Nursing - closed Thursday

Marlboro County School District - closed Friday, but will reopen Monday

Miller-Motte Technical College - closed for students on Friday. Staff should report at 10am. Graduation will be held as planned Friday evening

Mullins-Marion Christian School will operate on a One Hour delay Friday.

Pee Dee Academy in Marion will resume classes at 9 am Friday

Risen Christ Lutheran School in Myrtle Beach - closed Friday

Robeson County Schools - no school Friday, but will have an optional teacher workday with a two-hour delay for all staff.

Robeson Community College - regular schedule Friday

 Scotland County Schools  closed for students Friday.Optional teacher workday with a two hour delay for teachers. District offices on a two-hour delay as well. 

 Southeastern Community College will be closed on Friday

Thomas Hart Academy in Hartsville - 2-hour delay Friday. Staff are to report as usual

Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School in Darlington - 1-hour delay on Friday

Virginia College (Florence Campus) will be closed Thursday

Williamsburg County Schools - 2 hour delay Friday

Whiteville City Schools - closed Friday

Williamsburg County School District - 2-hour delay for students. Staff to report at normal time.

Williamsburg Technical College will be closed on Thursday,

BUSINESSES and GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

City of Darlington offices - will operate on a normal schedule on Friday

Florence Family YMCA will open as normal on Friday.

Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs - Regular Program Hours will resume on Monday.  But staff (to include Service Coordinators and Early Intervention), Conway & Loris Adult Development Center Staff, and The New Horizons HASCI Center Staff are to report to work at 10 am on Friday.

The City of Myrtle Beach solid waste service zones 3 and 4 will be serviced Thursday.

PDRTA service to Francis Marion University will resume at Noon from Downtown Florence. All other PDRTA service in Florence, Darlington, and Lake City will begin operating at 8 am and resume normal schedules thereafter. The Marion County-Myrtle Beach, Lake City-Johnsonville to Myrtle Beach, and the Darlington-Florence Commuter services will NOT operate on Thursday.

ALL SOPAKCO facilities which are Located in Bennettsville and Mullins are closed Thursday . Resume back to normal operations on Friday.

The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center outpatient clinics at the downtown campus and VA's clinics in Hinesville, Goose Creek, Beaufort, Savannah and Myrtle Beach, and the Trident Annex are closed for patient appointments on Thursday.
