In celebration of Black History Month, world-renowned neurosurgeon and best-selling author Benjamin S. Carson, M.D. will present "America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made this Nation Great" at Eastman's Toy F. Reid Employee Center.
The event will take place Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
The Eastman-sponsored event is free and open to the community.
About Dr. Benjamin Carson: Benjamin S. Carson, Sr., M.D. is a retired professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery, and pediatrics as well as former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
Dr. Carson is credited with pioneering work on the first completely successful separation of craniopagus (Siamese) twins joined at the back of the head.
He is president and co-founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, which recognizes young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian accomplishments.
A best-selling author, Dr. Carson has released four books and is currently working on his newest, One Nation, scheduled for release in May 2014.
