An Horry County man originally charged with obstruction in the case of missing Aynor woman Angela Pipkin now faces a murder charge.

Horry County Police took Randy Gale Robinson into custody and faces murder charges in the disappearance of Pipkin, who was last seen Jan. 16.

According to the arrest warrant, it's believed Robinson killed her and disposed of her dismembered body at 34 Landing in Darlington County.

Robinson, of Murrells Inlet, was previously arrested and charged with obstruction of justice last week and stands accused of giving "misleading information" in Pipkin's case.

Pipkin's family was saddened by the news that the mother of 2 children is now believed to be dead.

"It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we must inform everyone that Angie Pipkin is not longer with us. Her physical remains have not been found but Angie's Mother has confirmed they are preparing for her memorial and funeral services," said a post on a Facebook page called Find Angie Pipkin.

"Everyone deserves a proper goodbye and lets rally to make sure the memory of her final moments are a beautiful ones. May Angie RIP"

News13 obtained Robinson's arrest records that dates back to 1985.  Charges and convictions include domestic violence, disorderly conduct, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, drug charges, and DUI.

Search efforts for Pipkin, were suspended on Thursday at 3 p.m. due to inclement weather, according to officials with the Darlington Sheriff's Office.

Captain Andy Locklair, with the Darlington Sheriff's Office, says the search will continue either Friday or this weekend depending on the weather.

Crews searched Darlington County after they got a tip about Angie Pipkin.  The 32-year-old mother of two, from Aynor has been missing since January.

Lieutenant Robert Kegler with Horry County Police tells News13 they were in Darlington County along with DNR officials searching for Pipkin Thursday but did not find anything.

Angela "Angie" Grace Pipkin, was last seen on Jan. 16 when she was spotted getting into a car at the IGA on Main Street of Aynor, officials say.

Later she was seen on security cameras at about 9:30 p.m. at the Wilco Food Mart at 6222 Highway 707, Myrtle Beach.

Pipkin was officially reported missing on Jan. 22.
