Ratcliffe, TX -

A woman in Texas says she's convinced she's found a real live chupacabra.  Experts have yet to positively identify the creature found Sunday in the woods in back of the Stock house.

Jackie Stock spotted the strange animal munching on corn in back of her home in Ratcliffe. Her husband, an experienced hunter, caught the creature and admits he's never seen anything quite like it.   Raccoons and possums don't growl like this animal does and the couple believes it's a chupacabra

Wildlife Diversity Biologist, Brent Ortego, said it appears to be some form of a small canine.  Ortego works with the Texas Parks and Wildlife, and says it could be a breed of coyote, dog, or even a fox.  He said the hair loss on its back is most likely mange and he's ruled out chupacabra, a mythical creature which is said to attack and kill goats and other cattle.

For now the animal is staying at the Stock household, being fed a diet of cat food and corn until they find out for sure.
