Chris Parks

Chris has always been around sports, whether it be playing one or going to a sporting event.

As a youngster, he would often take the family video camera , turn it on, record, and give a play by play commentary of everything happening in front of him. Which would drive his family crazy!

Fast forward to now, and he is proudly able to make a living doing the same thing in the sports industry for over a decade.

Chris came to News13 in May of 2017 from Fort Myers, FL where he spent 3 years as their weekend sports anchor and reporter on WZVN ABC-7.

In Southwest Florida, he got to cover Spring Training Baseball with the Red Sox, Rays, and Twins, professional golf tournaments, and Florida Gulf Coast University, aka “Dunk City.”

Before his move to the sunshine state, he spent 6 years in Lima, OH at WTLW-44 & WOSN-TV as a sports anchor/reporter/commentator for their 24-7 sports network.

Chris covered nearly 60 high schools, produced a wide range of shows and specials, and aided in their seasonal 90 minute high school football show.

Chris was born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, PA so naturally he is a Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan.

Coming from one beach town to another has been excited and he’s been happy to get to know all the people that make up the Pee Dee and Grand Strand areas over the last 4 1/2 years.
