Hannah Rahner joined the News13 team in January 2022 as the weekend evening meteorologist.
She was born in Myrtle Beach and has never moved outside of Horry County. She graduated from Scholars Academy with dual-enrollment with Coastal Carolina University. Hannah graduated from Socastee High School in 2018.
Hannah attended the College of Charleston with a major in meteorology, and later declared a concentration in operational meteorology with a double major in physics. Hannah also minored in math and environmental and sustainability studies. She graduated from College of Charleston in December 2021 and accepted a job at News13.
Weather has always been a passion of Hannah’s since she was about 12 years old. Hurricane season was her favorite time of year. She’s always been fascinated by hurricanes and her first experience with one was Hurricane Charlie in 2004.
Hannah’s mom is from Sumter, and her dad is from Pittsburgh, adding to News13’s ever-growing number of Pittsburgh sports fans in the newsroom. Hockey is Hannah’s favorite sport to watch.
Hannah has an older sister, Madison, who graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2018 with a masters in English.
Hannah enjoys reading in her free time. She likes young adult mystery and thrillers that also have romance storylines.
