Kevin Accettulla, a digital content producer, joined the WBTW News13 digital team in March 2020 and became Digital Executive Producer in October 2021.
He comes from News13’s sister station, WTAJ, in Altoona, Pennsylvania (about an hour south of Penn State University). He graduated in 2018 from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Digital Media Production, where he developed journalism skills, learned web coding, and design.
Kevin won a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters award in 2019 for Outstanding Television Feature with a piece he shot and edited. He’s a news hound that enjoys being informed, digging deeper, and asking questions.
As a tech nerd, he always has some kind of technology in hand, whether it’s a phone, camera, or computer. Outside of work, you can find him learning about new technology, playing videogames, watching sports, listening to music, or traveling (when not in a global pandemic). He also tweets a lot.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Kevin enjoys the mild winters Myrtle Beach has to offer. He’s also a huge Pittsburgh sports fan. Go Steelers! Sorry, Meghan Miller (but not really).
Kevin is a natural competitor, a team player, and is glad to be a part of the News13 team — especially one that keeps adding Pittsburgh sports fans.
