
Manny Martinez joined the News13 team as a multimedia journalist in June 2021 after graduating from Syracuse University. He is excited to get to know the area first hand and share the stories of the community.
Manny got his start in broadcasting at his high school’s radio station, and he was also part of the school’s television and film program.
At Syracuse University, Manny worked at the student-run television station and interned at the local NPR affiliate where he worked on feature stories on the education beat. He graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science.
As a Chicago-area native, Manny is an avid Cubs fan. You can catch him at Pelicans games enjoying a good ballgame and scouting potential future Cubs. Manny also enjoys spending time riding his bike, playing tennis and pickleball. His golf game is just okay.
