Sallie Walkup joined the News13 team as a multi-media journalist and producer in March 2022.
She recently graduated with a Master of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University.
During her time at Syracuse University, Sallie worked for the student-run television show “Mornings on the Hill” in multiple different roles. She was also a Nexstar News Associate in Washington, D.C., where she reported on national news stories.
Sallie is from South Carolina and attended the College of Charleston where she received a Bachelor of Arts in both Communication and Theater with a concentration in theater for youth.
She is so excited to be living at the beach again.
Sallie enjoys being a “plant mom,” DIY/craft projects, trying new restaurants, musical theater, cooking and playing pickleball.
