Report: 4 charged after assaulting man who reportedly kicked his girlfriend in the face

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) - Four people have been charged after police say they assaulted a man who reportedly kicked his girlfriend in the face. 

According to Myrtle Beach Police Department P2C, the following people have been charged in this case:

- Chad Lee Mcfalls, 31- charges include attempted murder, drugs/possession of cocaine for a first offense, and fugitive from justice. 

- Preston Grigg, 52- charges including accessory after the fact to a felony.

- Christina Lynn Adcock, 32- charges include accessory after the fact to a felony.

- Dustin Ross Mcfalls, 28- charges include attempted murder.

According to a police report from the MBPD, officers responded to the area of 5th Avenue North and Chester Street for a fight around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, responding officers spoke with a 35-year-old female victim, identified in the report as Sara Beth Trent, and other witnesses. A 32-year-old male victim, identified in the report as Artavius Donnell Cox, was lying on the sidewalk "covered in blood with lacerations on his head area," the report says. 

Trent told officers that Cox had been her boyfriend for about six months and they had been living together for about two months, the report says. She also said she and Cox had been in a verbal fight and he kicked her in the face while she was bent over. 

At this time, Grigg, Chad Mcfalls, Dustin Mcfalls, and Adcock began to "assault" Cox in the road with "their hands and a blunt object," according to the report. 

A criminal history check on Cox revealed a conviction in 2014 for domestic violence, the report also states. A warrant for second degree domestic violence for Cox was signed on Tuesday.

J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records show Chad Mcfalls was booked around 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday. He remains in the center. 

Booking records also show Dustin Mcfalls was booked on Wednesday around 2:10 p.m. He remains in the center on a $50,000 bond. 

Adcock was also booked around 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday. She remains in the center on a $25,000 bond. 

No booking information or mugshot is available for Grigg.
