Man hospitalized after argument leads to shooting

LAUREL HILL, NC (WBTW) – A man is in critical condition after he was shot in Scotland County early Sunday morning.

The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened on Old Wire Road in Laurel Hill around 3 a.m.

Deputies say the shooting reportedly happened after an argument with a group of people. It escalated, leading to the shots being fired.

The man was transported to an area hospital. At last check, deputies say he is in critical, but stable condition.

No word of any suspects or arrests.
