No charges to be filed after Friday morning shooting in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — No charges will be filed after a Friday morning shooting in Myrtle Beach, according to police.

According to MBPD, the shooting happened at a residence on Park Drive. Officers were on scene around 4:15 Friday morning.

Officers say there is no threat to the community. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said detectives spoke with the two people involved and presented the facts to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

News13 has asked police why there will be no charges filed and we are waiting to hear back.
