2 killed in shooting at Pawleys Island nightclub identified


PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) Two people have died of gunshot wounds in a Pawleys Island area nightclub early today, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

A third patron has been hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

The shooting happened at the same nightclub at 915 Petigru Drive where a man also was shot and killed in 2018, according to Jason Lesley, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

The victims of Friday morning’s shooting died at the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, according to Deputy Coroner Paulette Radcliffe.

Radcliffe identified the victims as Matthew Cobb, Jr., 28, of Hemingway and Tevin Washington, 28, of Georgetown. 

No further information is available at this time.
