2 men charged with 3 counts of attempted murder after Florence shooting


FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – Police have charged two men with firing at three people parked in a car in front of a home on Brunson Street.

Officers said they were dispatched to the 600 block of Brunson Street at about 11:38 a.m. on Sunday in reference to a shooting.

When police arrived, everyone had left the scene, but the three people in the vehicle returned to meet with officers.

As the investigation progressed, officers detained Alex Lendell James and Antoine Demonchio James in the 200 block of Timmons Street. 

Both James and Demonchio were charged with three counts of attempted murder and transported to the Florence County Detention Center.

James also faces the charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime as well being served with outstanding warrants of assault and battery in the second degree, discharging a firearm into a dwelling and malicious injury to personal property from a previous incident.
