Crews working commercial structure fire in North Myrtle Beach


NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Crews are on the scene of a commercial structure fire in North Myrtle Beach.

Fire rescue teams were called to the 600 block of South Ocean Boulevard at about 10:15 on Wednesday. North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue is being assisted by Horry County Fire Rescue crews.

The fire was contained to one condo unit on the third floor. No one was home at the time. Fire damage was contained to the unit, but water and smoke damage affected the surrounding units, according to North Myrtle Beach Fire Chief Garry Spain.

The fire started on the exterior wall on Beachside from electrical issues, investigators said.
