DILLON, SC (WBTW) – Douglas “Humbunny” Pernell won the seat for Dillon County Sheriff with 55 percent of the votes on Tuesday.

Pernell, a Democrat, is a former chief deputy with 32 years of law enforcement experience.

Republican Tracy Pelt ran against pernell and garnered 42 percent of the vote.
