LORIS, SC (WBTW) – Police in Horry County were called to an attempted murder scene in the Loris area early Tuesday morning.

It happened on Dossie Road around 2:30.

According to the incident report, a family card game turned violent and ended with a car crash and one victim dodging shotgun blasts.

A witness told police the family was playing cards when “the suspect began to get mad at victim 2 and started talking trash to him,” before a fight broke out.

The report says victim 1 broke the fight up and the suspect left the scene but came back a few minutes later and threatened to kill victim 2.

Then the suspect is accused of pulling out a shotgun and firing at the vehicle the victims were sitting in.

According to the report, witnesses told police that victim 1 tried to drive away when she wrecked into a  ditch.

The report goes on to say, “victim 1 then hid behind the vehicle while victim 2 ran around dodging shots from the suspect.”

The suspect then got into a green truck and drove away.

Police found two spent 12-gauge shotgun shells on the property.

The case will be presented to a magistrate to consider issuing a warrant.
