VIQTORY, a veteran-owned communication and marketing firm, awarded Coastal Carolina University a bronze rating for the university’s dedication to student veteran services.
Among the programs, CCU offers disabled veteran parking, peer-to-peer counseling, a veterans alumni association and a lounge on campus for military connected students.
This is not CCU’s first accolade for its’ veteran services, the university has been regarded as “Military Friendly” every year since 2011.
“It goes well beyond having a military discount,” Greg Nance, Director of Veteran Services at CCU said. “A lot of people think having a military discount makes you a military friendly school. That’s not the only thing these organizations look for. They want to make sure we have programs in place to support our student veterans, our military service members and our dependents.”
