MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Despite the Easter holiday, the 4th Annual Horry County Fair was busy all weekend with families looking to have fun together.
“My favorite part of the fair is that I get to go with my family and I can go have family time with them,” Nasirachavis Robinson, a fair attendee said.
While the fair is only in its fourth year, the general manager of the Myrtle Beach Speedway, Steve Zacharias says there are a few changes this year.
“The whole layout is different so it’s a lot more user-friendly, so as you’re flowing around here, you always end up seeing the same thing without getting lost. It’s a big circle, so as you’re here, you can kinda cruise around here and you know you’re going to end up seeing everything else,” Zacharias said.
Zacharias says the fair got its start at the speedway because his children suggested they have one there.
“We’ve got 48 acres of property and we try to utilize it. We have Saturday night racing, we had one last night, it can’t supplement all this land. So we want to use up the rest of the time, so the kids said why don’t we have a fair,” Zacharias said.
The Horry County Fair will be held at the Myrtle Beach Speedway until Sunday, April 28.
