HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two people were killed in a shooting Tuesday in Horry County, according to Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.

Fowler said the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.

Both people died of gunshot wounds, Fowler said. The identities of the people killed have not been released as the family has not been notified.

Horry County police said three people were shot in total. One person involved is labeled as a suspect in a police report, which did not include many details.

The shooting took place at about 2:10 p.m. on Highway 554 near Red Bluff Crossroads, according to police.

News13 reached out to authorities again on Wednesday morning for more information on the shooting, including the injured victim’s condition, and was told that no new information was available.
