HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was shot in the hand Sunday evening in an incident near Highway 90 that also resulted in bullets hitting a pickup truck and a house, according to Horry County police.

HCPD responded at about 8:20 p.m. to the Sand Hill Lane area where officers talked to two people who said they were in a car returning from Walmart when the passenger was hit after gunshots were fired shortly after they turned onto Sandhill Lane from Dewitt Road.

According to a police report obtained by News13, officers found shell casings near the intersection of Sandhill Lane and Dewitt Road.

During their investigation, officers also found a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck parked at a nearby residence that had been hit by bullets that went through the front windshield and exited through the back windshield, the report said. Officers also found that bullets had gone through a wall of the house and into a bedroom.
