MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A person received injuries similar to a stingray sting in Myrtle Beach on Thursday.

Lt. Jonathan Evans, with the department, said crews responded to a stingray sting on the beach at 25th Avenue North.

Evans said the person had injuries similar to a stingray sting, but no stingray or barb was found.
