MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The holiday season is here and so are plenty of holiday activities, according to a news release from the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Myrtle Beach is the place to be for families seeking an abundance of holiday happenings this year,” said Karen Riordan, with MBACC. “We have an extraordinary number of festive events, joyful performances and holiday shopping opportunities.”

The 2022 holiday season events to be hosted in Myrtle Beach include:

  • The 8th annual Santa Crawl on Dec. 10 at The Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet
  • The Marshwalk Wonderland of Lights walk-through light experience will be held in Murrells Inlet through the New Year
  • “The Christmas Show of the South” performed through Dec. 17 at The Carolina Opry
  • The Myrtle Beach Bowl, an ESPN post-season college football game, will be held on Dec. 19
  • The 2nd annual Winter Wonderland at The Beach festival will be held through Dec. 23 Thursday-Sunday
  • The Beach Ball Classic, a high school basketball invitational tournament, will be held from Dec. 27-30 in Myrtle Beach
  • The Great Christmas Light Show will be open until Dec. 30 at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex
  • “Hot Jersey Nights Christmas Special” will be performed through Dec. 30 at the Broadway Theater
  • “The South’s Grandest Christmas Show” will be performed through Dec. 31 at the Alabama Theater
  • “Christmas at Pirate’s Voyage” special performed through Dec. 31 at Pirate’s Voyage
  • “The Wonders of Christmas” holiday magic spectacular performed through Dec. 31 at the Wonders Theatre located at Broadway at the Beach

The Ripley’s Festival of Trees will also be held several times throughout the month of December at Ripley’s Aquarium, the release reads. Holiday workshops and breakfast with Santa events will also be held at the aquarium.
