NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Fire crews in North Myrtle Beach are battling a second alarm fire Tuesday morning.

According to a tweet from the department, crews were called to a fire in the Hill Street area around 7:49 a.m. Drivers are asked to avoid the area as Sea Mountain Highway is closed near Hill St. as crews work to clear the scene.

Fire officials say the commercial fire is under control and all occupants of the building are accounted for. One person is being treated for smoke inhalation.

Horry County Fire Rescue assisted with the call. It’s unclear at this time what caused the fire.
