Police clear scene of ‘active incident’ in Horry County; no threat to the community

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Police responded to an “active incident” Monday evening in Horry County.

The public was asked to avoid Shetland Lane in the Myrtle Beach area due to the incident. Police did not say what the incident was.

Multiple fire and EMS crews were on scene behind Joe’s Diner. Police said the scene cleared just before 6:40 p.m. There is no threat to the community.

Horry County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.
