Truck fire on Highway 17 Bypass causes traffic delays near Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A truck fire on Highway 17 Bypass Tuesday caused traffic delays near Myrtle Beach.

A dump truck caught fire on Highway 17 Bypass South near Palmetto Point Boulevard. Traffic was flowing slowly in one lane but all lanes have since reopened.

A dump truck was the only vehicle involved, according to Tony Casey with Horry County Fire Rescue. No injuries were reported and the fire has been put out.
