The Marion Police Department has asked for help identifying someone who committed an armed robbery at a convenience store Monday night.

Marion Police Chief Tony Flowers said in an email that a man robbed the Epco 3-Way Food Store in Marion around 8:45 p.m. on Monday. He described the man as black, wearing a black baseball cap, gray and black hoodie/jacket, black pants, and what appeared to be gray shoes.

“After speaking with the clerk for a moment he then brandished a handgun and pointed it at the clerk, grabbed an undetermined amount of items, and fled the scene,” Flowers wrote.

Flowers included a picture captured from a surveillance camera at the store.

Flowers asks anyone with information, or anyone who can identify the individual, to contact the Marion Police Department at 843-423-8616 or 843-423-8399.
