MBPD: Suspect arrested in kidnapping and attempted murder case


Police are investigating a kidnapping and attempted murder incident that happened early Saturday morning. 

According to a press release from Myrtle Beach police, Tyquan Marrell Carmichael was wanted in connection to the case. Police had warrants for his arrest on charges of; Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree, Attempted Murder, Kidnapping and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony. 

Police say the incident happened in the area of 6th Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard at around 3:30 a.m. 

Police announced on Monday that he was taken into custody.
