LAS VEGAS (WFLA) – New mom and country superstar Carrie Underwood is being applauded online for a photo she shared from backstage at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The 54th annual award show hosted by Reba McEntire took place Sunday in Las Vegas.
During the show, Underwood performed “Southbound,” one of the songs of her latest album. She later joined several other artists for a group performance.
Before the show, Underwood posted a photo from backstage saying she was getting ready for her performance and “also pumping,” adding that she was #multitasking. Underwood gave birth in January to her second son with husband Mike Fisher.
The photo has been liked more than 600,000 times since it was posted. Fans in the comment section are applauding her for sharing the multitasking photo, even calling her a superhuman.
“GORGEOUS, and Real!!!! Mom life at its Finest!!! Go crush your performance!!!” one commenter said.
Another joked, “Wonder how many mom’s [sic] can say they pumped and performed.”
“Thank you for helping us new mommas out here feel normal about our bodies and pumping!” another fan said.
The official ACM Awards account even chimed in saying, “You go, mama!”
Underwood was nominated for Female Artist of the Year at this year’s ACM Awards but lost to Kacey Musgraves.
