One dead in Marion shooting, suspect in custody

MARION, SC – (WBTW) – One of the two victims shot on Bluff Road in Marion Saturday night has died, according to Marion Police Chief Dewayne Tennie. 

Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson identified the victim as 23-year-old Dashamel Prince Drayton from Marion County. The victim died at MUSC in Charleston from a gunshot wound, the coroner confirmed. 

On Sunday, Anthony Raynard Randall was located by police six blocks away from where the shooting happened on Bluff Road. 

Randall was charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm, discharging a weapon in city limits and unlawful carrying of a firearm, according to the Marion Police Department.
