Pedestrian taken to hospital after hit-and-run in Florence

FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A pedestrian was taken to a hospital after a hit-and-run in Florence on Thursday.

Officers responded to a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in the 900 block of Darlington Street around 11:35 p.m. on Thursday, according to a press release from the Florence Police Department. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital by Florence County EMS.

Police say a dark sedan, travelling west on Darlington Street, struck the person and left the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
